She had at first addressed the inquiry to Tess, but the latter could not hear it. ¡¡¡¡`Somebody's fancy-man, I s'pose,' said Marian laconically. ¡¡¡¡`I'll lay a guinea he's after Tess.' ¡¡¡¡`O no.
